Field trips
We annually organize field trip to laboratories abroad. In May 2006 the chapter sponsors the trip to Laboratoire Charles Fabry de l’Institut d’Optique & Laboratoire de Photonique Quantique et Moléculaire.
Seminar series
We host speakers from Italy and abroad, in order to promote and diffuse the knowledge in the field of Optics and Photonics.
We periodically invite students of local University and high schools to visit our labs to show them how amazing the research in Optics is! This helps students to get in touch with applied optics and cutting edge techniques in the field. Our efforts are always towards the diffusion of "the science of light"...
Outings
To strenghten the friendship among chapter members and new ones, we often organize outings and dinners. Once a year (on the occasion of the foundation date) the chapter offers a pizza party for all its members.
